As winter quickly approaches, we’re on the hunt for our favourite jacket for the season. Want more than one style, but don’t want to pay? Rental coats are the perfect answer.
Coats and jackets are expensive. If, like us, you just want the new season it coat every year, the cost quickly adds up. If, also like us, you find yourself hoarding years’ of coats because they aren’t in style but haven’t been worn enough to be thrown away, it takes up a lot of room. And finally, if there are just too many amazing jackets to choose from, your choices before The Devout were to either pick just one or spend a lot on multiple.
The horror of having to put down that amazing shearling jacket or filling your wardrobe with bulky coats is behind you now, because you can have 5 different coats and jackets every month for just £79 with The Devout!
Now we know the answer to those first-world problems, the next question is; what rental coats are trending this year?
Rental coats: the puffer
Practical, warm, and a little bit sporty. Puffers have been in style for a while now, but we can’t see them going anywhere any time soon. This year, the puffer has taken a more country-chic look with diamond quilting, longer lengths and neutral colours. These padded coats can be found with sustainable and technical fabrics, and an array of collars and belting, all equally as stylish as each other.
Rental coats: the trench
The trenchcoat never really goes out of style. This chic and sophisticated shape looks just amazing with workwear, jeans and even over that LBD. This year, we’re picking our trench in an autumnal colourway, crafted from luxe wool.
Rental coats: the shacket
If you’re looking for a lighter jacket, the shacket (Which, by the way is everywhere right now) is the go-to for athleisure, 90s or even grungy looks. Army khakis, autumnal checks and block colourways are all perfect for the trend, and look just amazing with jeans and lockdown joggers alike.
Rental coats: the wild one
Love animal style? Good choice. Carole Baskin lockdown has made its way into winter lockdown with leopard print and teddy fabrics that we just can’t get enough of, to take you through the autumn/winter transition in style.
