Party season is in full tiered throttle, so we needed to know the must-have trends for 2020.
Tier 1 or 2? Get the party started with a meal or a drink. Tier 3? Us too. We’ll be bringing the takeaways and drinks home for some dancing in the kitchen. Whatever tier you’re in, make the most of the festive season with a special outfit to cheer everything up, and send out the year in style. We won’t miss you, 2020 👋
Take a look at the best party season trends for 2020…
Puff Sleeves
Had enough of puff sleeves yet? Us neither, how could we! From the it Ganni shirred top (Which, by the way would look pretty incredible with the Gramophone Jacquard Trousers from Sister Jane) to the festive season dresses, we’re loving this extra trend.
Big Collars
Another key trend coming from the creative Danes at Ganni is the big collar. This look oozes vintage style, and looks just amazing on dresses and shirts. Team it with a sleeveless sweater or some cute tights. Not a fan of the collar? Tone the trend down with some gorgeous ruffles instead- Sister Jane do a great job.
Bold Checks
Okay, let’s just say it, Ganni was the brand of the year for key trends. Next up? Their bold checks hit the mainstream this year, and look just as gorgeous in party season style. This one is for the boys too, with a selection of shirts and blazers for party season.
Leather
Leather has been trending all year, and it’s the perfect material for the party season. Tops, blazers, dress, skirts… we love it on every style and shape.
Big shapes
If puff sleeves and big collars aren’t enough, then pick a big shape. Loose dresses are key here, in trapeze, cami and smock shapes and both flowy and heavy fabrics. Team them on their own, over a tee or with tights for a kitsch look- it’s up to you. Tip from us- theyre’ also great to disguise a giant Christmas meal 😉
How will you be celebrating party season?
